Enjoying Life

Angela and I have just been busy enjoying life. The boys are in two T-Ball leagues. One of the leagues played their last game yesterday evening. Obviously we are little biased, but Alex and Christian are amazing. I jokingly call them the Dynamic Duo. Where are the talent scouts?

This Sunday we'll be celebrating Christians 3rd birthday at the splash grounds in Gonzales. Angela is excited and has a Superman theme planned. Christian use to be Spiderman.... but somehow he has climbed the evolutionary ladder to become Superman!

Angela is now beginning to work out at YCMA. She has a little anxiety being in a gym setting, but with a little encouragement she is getting through it.

The nausea following the chemo has gotten considerably better. Thanks for your continued thoughts, posts and prayers.

MRI Results Are More Good News

For those of you who haven't seen Angela in a while, I should start by saying she's looking great, getting around great and doing great. And today, there was more great news. This morning Angela had another MRI and the results came back stable.

Safari Sunday

Sunday, April 27: As I write this, we are leaving Global Wildlife in Robert, LA. This was a trip we had been planning to take together for more than a year, and the wait was worth it. Though the boys were initially upset to see open fields instead of a “jungle,” the experience of being surrounded by thousands of animals quickly made them lose all images of Tarzan swinging from the trees.
Among the scores of animals who surrounded our wagon for a high-protein meal, Alex cup-fed a giraffe and longhorn steer and Christian cup-fed a camel.
Though the skies were ominous for much of our 90-minute ride, we were fortunate that there was only scattered drizzle and the incoming weather cooled the temperature.

Today marked the second Saturday in a row hanging out with exotic animals. Our visit to the Baton Rouge Zoo last Saturday included the mandatory train ride (which is the REAL reason Alex and Christian love the zoo). For Angela, the day meant three straight hours of pushing Katherine in her stroller.

Saturday, May 3: The kids are spending the day with Diane and David, Angela and Steele went to a fundraiser for Hospice of Baton Rouge. Right now the four of us are at Brew Ha Ha, a coffee shop at Jefferson at Government, and I am catching flack for not posting last week’s blog (see above).
As you would have read in Tammy’s recent post, Angela has been doing great and the anti-nausea medicine she’s on now is really working. I’m sure I could come up with more to say, but the most important thing you need to know is that things are going great.
Oh, I know what I’ll add. At Easter, the boys and I made a really cool movie of them dying Easter eggs—but Angela won’t let me post it to youtube.com. I really wish you could see it though—it’s CUTE!
