Friends and Family of Angela Carville Fluker

This past Labor Day weekend Angela began loosing control of her left foot. After a couple of weeks worth of doctor's visits and several MRIs later she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She had the tumor removed at the Lady of the Lake hospital this Friday. The surgery went well and all of the visible tumor was removed. Unfortunately the tumor was malignant (Glioblastoma Multiforme). Considering the circumstances she is holding up well as anyone could. There have been lots of valleys and very few peaks during this past week. When she is able to travel we plan to treat the tumor at Duke University with Dr. Henry S. Friedman. This world renown brain tumor specialist personally called us back at 9:00 pm on the same day we requested a consult. Incredible! We're hoping this is the miracle we were praying for. The support from our family and friends has been overwhelming, it has given us hope in a very bleak situation. I want to thank everyone who has called, visited, emailed, cooked or shown us love and support in anyway. However right now we need a little time by ourselves to regroup and mentally come to terms with our situation. I'm sure we'll be in a better place mentally to visit and talk with our friends and family in a few days. Your prayers and support have really meant a lot. We are still in the tower at the Lake room 426. I'm not sure when we'll go home, but it will be soon.

We'll do our best to keep this updated. Please feel free to post your comments of love and support. I promise Angela and I will read them.

A Sincere Thanks to Everyone,

David, Angela, Alex, Christian & Katherine

WOW! I am the first "blogger". How lucky am I??? It was great to see you tonight, visit with you and share hopes and dreams of good days to come. Not only are you my friend but you are my sister. I love you very much and can never imagine my life without you. The fight has now begun and I am part of the mighty army that will go to battle with you. You are strong and I know that you can do it. Remember to keep your faith and never give up. I believe that God has opened doors for you over the past few days and now it is time to "walk in" and see where the journey takes us. Always remember that I am here, right next to you, ready to take the journey with you. Keep your eye on the reward and that combined with your faith in God shall guide you through this. I love you very much!

David and Angela, So the journey in life continues. I think the test given to you earlier that brought you into the "Webster" family was meant to strengthen you for this test. It is clear from the responses that you have an army of support and prayers behind you of which I am a part of. David if their is anything that you need, please dont hesitate to call your personal investigator. Mrs Angela just remember the 3rd set of foot prints in the sand walking beside you and David's is God walking with you'll.

David and Angela,

Thank you for taking the time to set this up. We have so wanted to communicate with you, but felt ya'll probably needed your space. We started down to the hospital on Monday and Mimi said maybe that wasn't a good day to visit, so we came back home. Just know that our hearts and our thoughts and our prayers are with you constantly. We know that our God is sufficient and He has the plan. If there is anything you need, just tell Alma and we'll be there.

Lord, please place your arms around David and Angela and their children right now. Comfort them, guide them and guide all the hands that will be caring for them. Amen

We love you,

Eugene and Debi

Hi Angela and David, It's hard to believe that when I saw you guys at Relay for Life that you would be facing this struggle. Just know that I am praying for you and I have asked others to pray for you. God does perform miracles. As a cancer survivor, I am one of them. Hope you feel better soon and know that I am thinking of you and praying for you and your family.

David and Angela,

Tim Poirrier called me this week and gave me the news. Although there is a tough fight ahead, always keep in mind that you will be in everyone's thoughts and prayers. Miracles happen everyday, and there is no reason why it cannot happen for you. God often gives us challenges to overcome, but I have come to know that God never gives us anything that we cannot handle. Angela and David, this speaksloudly regarding the strength that you must have. I know that you have many close friends, but if there is ever anything that you need during this difficult time, please do not hesitate to let me know. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Trust in the Lord.....through Him all things are possible.

It really shocked us when we have just received your e-mail about Angela’s condition.
When the first time Phyllis and I met you both (Angela & You) in HK seven year ago, she really gave us a very deep impression, her laugh, her smile and kindness…..etc .
Understand this is not an easy time for you & your family to go through, remember to keep your faith and never give up. We are keep praying all the time to receive your good news on Angela’s condition.
Feel sorry we couldn’t be there, but our love will be with you and Angela.

Angela and David,

We love ya'll. Ya'll are in our prayers. My family and I are ready to help in any way that you need us. Yes Angela, I can clean toilets and babysit, change diapers and do all sort of "domestic" things. And Angela, remember not to wave at someone who is in a police uniform thinking it was me. I'm retired now. We love ya'll and we will see you soon.

We'll be here standing in the gap being prayer warriors and ready to do whatever we can to help out in any way that you need us. Remember to draw on God's power (Eph. 6:10) and allow Him to lead and guide you in your hearts in how to walk through the problem. He is the Great Physician. The doors He has opened and is going to be many. We'll see you when you get home; but, if you need us before then, just call and we'll be there! We love y'all very much!

David and Angela - You do not know me, but my friend Delphia shared with me and asked that I pray for Angela and her family. As I was prayerful this morning, it was placed on my heart to share with Delphia thoughts I believe the Holy Spirit gave me. When she shared with me this website, I thought I would share directly. As you wait prayerfully on God's grace, fill yourselves with songs, hymns and spiritual songs so that your hearts and minds may be filled with faith and peace that passes understanding. God's Word encourages us to do this because of the battle of the mind and heart the enemy tries to win doing a trial like this. Literally, fill the hospital room and your home with spiritual songs that are filled with God's Word. Listen to sermons and Scriptures as often as you are able. Consider giving Angela a CD player with earphones. I know this may sound extreme, but the biggest battle that must be won is the mind so that your spirits may stay connected to the Vine (Jesus). I will continue to keep Angela and the family in prayer. God's grace and peace always is my prayer. A sister-in Christ.

Angela - you are like my baby sister since Theresa and I have been best friends since 4th grade. With that said, know that you are very special to me. I am praying for you with the many others in your life who are doing the same. God works in many ways and nothing is impossible if we believe in Him. Theresa told me about the nurse at the hospital and "her story" to you. One day soon you will have "your own story" to share with those in your situation. Pray hard, fight hard and know there is nothing you couldn't ask me to do for you or your family. I love you.

David & Angela -

My heart breaks for your anguish, but from the looks of things (this blog), you have many who are lifting you before the Throne. Please know that I moderate an email prayer list of around 130 folks from all over the world, and they, too, are interceding on your behalf. God is faithful and worthy of our trust even in the darkest of times - especially in the darkest of times. Patti and I send our love and hope.

Dear Angela,
We met so long ago through Tammy and since then I have come to love you also like a sister. We have shared so many crazy yet special moments. I will pray that God gives you another miracle to go with the 3 little ones you already have. Keep your faith even though it is hard. Just reading this blog shows how much you are loved and how much we are all praying for you and your family. David - know that we are thinking of you too and pray for your strength as well!

Angela,
I was devastated when I heard about you. I know you don't know this but I've always felt close to you. Maybe its because we both had our children so late in life. Maybe its because I hadn't seen you in 10-15 years and when I finally do, you make me feel like we had been together as friends for all that time. You exude something special and those of us who are lucky enough to know you can feel it. I believe in omens and as I was leaving my office today thinking about you and what I was going to say in this blog, I saw the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. I figured that there must be a miracle at the end of this tragedy. I'm thinking of you and praying for you. Love Petit

David and Angela,
Right at this moment, I am just in Awe from reading everything that is going on, and the comments of your many friends and family. I talked to Lucy and she told me of this site.
Please know that my prayers are with you, and letting you know that some great prayer warriors in TN are praying for you all right now. You are on our prayer chain and my church family has been wanting to know if I had any updates. This site is so great. Isn't God wonderful?
We love you, and I will pray for Lucy to get to feeling better also as she told me about her back. I wish I was closer, so that I could pitch in. When I was in need, sooo many angels came my way.
AS many have said, stay strong in your faith, keep your head up, cause when you are weak,(physically), then it won't take much to look up.
