Back in the Saddle

As I write this 3 kids are bouncing around me.... Angela is gaining her mental strength back after the setback on Friday. Saturday night was pretty tough. She was really depressed from Friday's consult with the Neurosurgeon. My sister took the boys to the park to play and Angela broke down that evening while they were gone. I convinced her to to take a Xanax and she finally fell asleep before the boys came home. After a lot of prodding I convinced her to go to church Sunday morning. As usual Burn Page's sermon seemed to be tailored made for us. From there things started looking up. We met my sister for a picnic lunch before heading to the zoo. Angela thoroughly enjoyed the outing as Alex road in her lap and Steele pushed her chair. Her Family Sunday outing was what we needed to get her back on track. She still has her moments but....but she is getting back to where she needs to be.
Thanks for the prayers, support and help! Did I mention the 3 kids....gotta go.

Angela,
I wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with you. We did things today that neither of us thought we'd ever do at this stage in our lives but together we'll make it through this. As always, I am here for you whenever/whatever you need. Sleep well and I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Love You!

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. Psalm 94:18-19

Hey Angela,

You know that story you have probably read over and over again about the little engine going up the hill.....I think I can, I think I can......You can beat this monster!!!

This message is for the two of you, Angela and David: What courage and strength and patience and LOVE you both have!!! David, I personally witnessed your remarkable love as a husband and father when those 3 children you speak of were running circles around you Monday evening and you were feeding them and tending to them and serving Angela her supper and drink and bringing her medicine. Wow! what an inspiration. And, Angela, I LOVED my visit with you. You are remarkable as well with your spirit that can take it all and still laugh alot! Please know that you are both in my prayers. I'll see you soon and this time, I'll bring those crusts I cut off of the sandwiches for Kebo(smile)Love and God bless, Maureen

A Prayer for You

I said a prayer for you today,
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word.

I didn't ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn't mind.
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind.

I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day,
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small,
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all.

May the peace that only God can give surround all of you. As peaceful as it can be with three little ones! Your strength and determination and your love for each other and your children will give you what you need to get through this as well as your faith in God.

What a precious picture David painted of the outing on Sunday!

Love you much,

Eugene and Debi

Good Thursday Afternoon Angela,

Can you believe only 2 more weeks till Thanksgiving!!! And I think you have your little girl turning 1 soon!!!

Here is your joke/riddle for the day. I got it out of a Focus on the Family magazine..

"A young pastor was making his first visit to the home of an elderly woman who was ill. As they chatted, he nibbled on the peanuts, that were in a dish on her bedside table.
When he got up to leave, he said, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I've eaten all your peanuts". That's o.k. she replied. I can't eat them anyway, and I'd already sucked all the chocolate off."

Have a terrific evening. Thinking about you and your family.

Love,
Lowry

YEAH it is Friday!!! Hey Angela!! I hope the treatments for the week went alright and you are getting stronger and stronger each new day.

But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not grow faint. Isaiah 40:31

O.K. here is something to make you smile..

When a pastor visited a small congregation, two local pastors treated him to an afternoon of fishing. After they were in the boat for a while, the first pastor said, I forgot my favorite lure in the truck, I'll be right back. He jumped out and walked on the water tothe shore. He retrieved his lure and calmly walked on the water back to the boat. The visiting pastor was amazed. A little while later, the second pastor said he needed to contact his office, but his cell phone was in the truck. He, too, jumped out of the boat walked on the water to the shore, made his call and returned the same way. At this point, the visiting pastor thought he should demonstrate the same kind of faith, so he jumped of the boat but immediately sank. The pastors looked at each other and said, Should we tell him where the stumps are?

Thinking and praying for you and your family,

Love, Lowry

David and Angela,

Know that our family is praying for your family during these challenging days. Abby says that they are praying at school too. We ask God to wrap His arms around the five of you in a way that you will feel His presence and be calmed by it and that each day will have its moments of joy. We love you.

It's Saturday and I hope you are having a good day. You made it through another week of treatment...hooray!!!

Something to make you smile..

A lady was picking through the frozen turkeys at the grocery store, but couldn't find one big enough for her family.
She asked a stock boy, "Do these turkeys get any bigger?"

The stock boy replied, "No ma'am, they're dead."

As you continue on your journey toward complete healing, remember....
Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

Good Sunday to You and your family!!

I am thinking about you and how your treatments are going...Another week down and just a few more to go!!!

Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Here is your joke for the day...

Little Bruno was sitting in his grandmother's kitchen, watching her prepare the Thanksgiving meal.

"What are you doing?" Bruno asked.

"Oh, I'm just stuffing the turkey," his grandmother replied.

"That's cool!" Bruno said. "Are you going to hang it next to the deer?"

Have a restful day. Thinking and praying for you.

Love, Lowry

Angela,
Check out http://www.caringbridge.org/
It's a free website to update friends and family of what's going on. Friends and family can sign up to receive emails each time the site is updated. I get updates on a little boy from Baton Rouge who drowned. The mom posts specific prayer requests for him daily or weekly & I receive an email on it. It is a daily reminder to pray and I know exactly how to pray for him. They are seeing miracles every day!
