Here is your joke for the day... Why did Johnny get such low grades after Thanksgiving? Because everything is marked down after the holiday.
Have a restful evening. Love and thinking about you, Lowry
Know it's been a while, but I've been keeping up since Diane called me. Just want you to know that you and the little ones are in my prayers and with his love and your determination so many things are possible. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I will be checking in regular on your progress which I know cannot be anything but positive.
I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, Child, you are mine. When you walk through the waters, I will be there, and through the flame. You'll not - no way - be drowned! You'll not - no way - be burned! For I am with you.
Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not, for I am with you, says the Lord
I hope that your treatment today went well!!! You are getting closer and closer with each passing day! Can't wait to celebrate when I hear...Angela is finished with her treatment and it was a huge success!!!
I hope you and your family have some nice plans for Thanksgiving!!
Here is your joke for the day...
A grandmother was surprised by her 7 year old helper early one morning. He had made her coffee! She drank what was the worst cup of coffee in her life. And, when she got to the bottom, to her utter amazement there were three of little green army men in her cup.
Puzzled, she asked "Honey, what are the army men doing in my coffee?"
Her grandson answered "Grandma, you know how it says on TV,
"The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup."
Iwas just thinking of you .I hope you have a good day today.Give Katherine a big kiss and a happy birthday from us.Hope you and David have a wonderful thanksgiving!!
Hey...it is late but I hope you had a great Wednesday!!! Another day and another day closer to your total healing!!!!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
I hope you had some peaceful moments today. I wish you and your entire family a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
Here is your riddle for the day..
small child walked daily to and from school. Though the weather one morning was questionable and clouds were forming, this child made the daily trek to the elementary school.
As the day progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning.
The mother was worried that her child would be frightened walking back home from school, and she herself feared the electrical storm might harm her child.
Following the roar of the thunder, lightning would cut through the sky like a flaming sword. Being concerned, the mother got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. Soon she saw her small child walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up at the sky and smile.
One followed another, each time with her child stopping, looking at the streak of light and smiling. Finally, the mother called and asked, "What are you doing!"
Her child answered, " I'm smiling for God, He keeps taking pictures of me."
I hope you and your family had a restful and enjoyable day. Today, I give thanks to John Michael for calling me a few weeks ago telling me all about you. I am thankful that I am able to lift you in prayer each and every day. I am thankful that our loving God is holding you every step of the way. I am thankful that you have a loving husband and three little miracles making you smile in times of despair!!!
If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
Alright, here is your joke for the day... A drunk stumbles along a baptismal service on Sunday afternoon down by the river. He proceeds to walk into the water and stand next to the preacher. The minister notices the old drunk and says,
"Mister, are you ready to find Jesus?"
The drunk looks back and says, "Yes, preacher, I sure am."
The minister dunks the fellow under the water and pulls him right backup.
"Have you found Jesus?" the preacher asks.
"Nooo, I didn't!" said the drunk. The preacher then dunks him under for quite a bit longer, brings him up, and says,
"Now, brother, have you found Jesus?" "Noooo, I have not, reverend."
The preacher, in disgust, holds the man under for at least 30 seconds this time, brings him out of the water, and says in a harsh tone,
"My God, man, have you found Jesus yet?" The old drunk wipes his eyes and says to the preacher,
Don't worry about anything; but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always thanking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus." Philipians 4:6
As you begin a new week of treatment, I pray you are stronger than last week. You are getting so close to the next set of scans!!! Do you have those planned yet?
Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me. Psalm 86:1
Tonight, I hope you are hearing and feeling some of those answers to the many prayers being lifted up on your behalf.
Looking at your countdown schedule, you are almost finished with this round of treatment!! Awesome...in fact, this time next week, you will be finished...Just like the little engine... I thought I could, I thought I could!!
"Seek the Lord and His Strength", Psalm 100:4
At this point in time, when you are tired and weary from the chemo and radiation, it is in HIS strength that you can rest and receive your strength to get through another day.
Alright, after the whirlwind of Thanksgiving company, I will leave you with a joke...
Three sons left home, went out on their own and prospered. Getting together for Christmas, they discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother.
The first said, "I built a big house for our mother."
The second said, "I sent her a Mercedes."
The third smiled and said, "I've got you both beat. You remember how mom enjoyed reading the Bible? And you know she can't see very well. So I sent her a remarkable parrot that recites the entire Bible. It took elders in the church 12 years to teach him. He's one of a kind. Mom just has to name the chapter and verse, and the parrot recites it."
Soon thereafter, Mom sent out her letters of thanks:
"Dear Milton," she wrote one son, "The house you built is too huge. I live in only one room, but I have to keep the whole house clean!"
"Dear Gerald," she wrote to another, "I am too old to travel. I stay at home most of the time, so I rarely use the Mercedes."
"Dearest Donald," she wrote to her third son, "You have the good sense to know what your Mother likes. The chicken was Dee-licious!"
Love and hoping you have lots of smiles today, Lowry
Just stopping by to say I hope you had a terrific Tuesday!! Up here in TN, we are not very popular when we wear our purple and gold!!
This Bible verse has been in my mind for awhile when thinking of you so, I decided to write it tonight.
"you formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother's womb" Psalm 139:13 When I think about this, your God truly knows you, knows your fears, when you are weary, scared, happy, etc. I hope you can rest in him...he is walking with you and at times, holding you up. I also think about your Mom. I know she is one of your biggest cheerleaders and speaking to God on your behalf!!! I remember vividly one time when I was at your house, your Mom looked into your eyes.... what true, unconditional love she had for you.
Instead of a joke/riddle today, I came across this...enjoy...
The Four Candles
The Four Candles burned slowly. Their Ambiance was so soft you could hear them speak.
The first candle said, "I am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit."
Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.
The second candle says, "I am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable."
Then Faith's flame slowly diminsishes and goes out completely.
Sadly, the third candle spoke, "I am love and I haven't the strenght to stay lit any longer." "People put me aside and don't understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them.
And waiting no longer, Loves goes out completely.
Suddenly,
A child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer burning.
The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end."
Then the fourth candle spoke gently to the little boy, "Don't be afraid, for I am Hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles."
With Shining eyes the child took the candle of Hope and lit the other three candles.
Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life.
With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are...Peace, Faith and Love can shine brightly in our lives.
Angela and David, Thank you the post that keeps me updated with all that is going on in your lives. Angela, keep up the fight. You are an inspiration. With prayer, anything is possible.
