Mommy is keeping it on the road!

This was just one of the comments from the backseat cheering section as we followed Angela to drop the Expedition off at the repair shop this morning. This was Angela's first time to drive since being diagnosed. Alex, Christian and Katherine were all cheering as we pulled up to the repair shop. Angela decided she hadn't lost her touch; and drove us all out to a private residence just shy of Jackson Louisiana to fish and swim this afternoon. We all had a great time catching fish, eating hot dogs and swimming. In Christian's first fishing outing he's already proven he could out fish Sam "Fish Less" Furby on any given day of the week. Check out Christian's first fish. Thanks to Jarrod and Tiffany for the great day.

When we returned home I stayed in the truck while our passed out crew finished their naps; and Angela cooked a delicious dinner for us.

Last night John Michael invited and treated us to the circus. The kids had a great time. We are a little scared Christian is going to try some of the circus acts he saw at home though.

Again thanks for all your prayers.

Hey Anglea,

I finally have internet again. Been in rural Minnesota visiting Brad's parents and they don't have service.

I was thrilled to read the lastest update!!! Driving again is a miracle in itself.

Keep up the good work...Nothing like logging on after a few weeks and reading nothing but wonderful news. I am so happy for the children that they have their Mommy back doing what she needs to do!!!

Love, peace, HOPE and full of Thanksgiving!!!

David and Angela,

I too have been absent for awhile, but you have never been far from our thoughts. We are in the middle of our busiest season at camp and the Lord is blessing! We only have 70 girls and counselors this week!

So thankful for all the great news and for driving for the first time. That had to feel great!

Always in our prayers!

WOW!! Driving again, huh?? That's wonderful!! Also, I was very ELATED to hear a GREAT progress report! You have and have always had so many admirable traits and they are SHINING THROUGH!! Keep up the good work, girlfriend! You are ALWAYS in my thoughts and prayers!

I ran across your cell phone # in my cell phone direct. the other day. I almost dialed, but it was too late at night & decided it was best not to disturb the sleeping princesses and princes! :-)

Hey, do you feel like eating anything in particular?? Come on , now, don't be shy, let me know.....and it's YOURS!!

Oh, yeah, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY to ALL OF THE FLUKERS!!

Love and strength,
Mina

I think I should have brought Christian on our fishing trip to Grand Isle for the 4th of July. Supposedly, the greatest fishing weekend of the year. Everyone there had great fish stories. We didn't have such luck or skill. Great to read the good news. Always thinking of you and your family.

Love,

Angela:

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, but I have been a bit busy. J. Brian just became a Deacon in the Catholic Church, and I have been back and forth with the girls. Life is good and crazy. I am glad you are having good, crazy moments too.

Oh the joys of driving!! I am happy for you. You probably were as excited and scared as you were 30 years ago. But surely it has not ben 30 years???

I am continually praying for you and your family, and am glad you are having some really good days. Keep the faith, we all know you will beat this!!!

Blessings!

Hi Angela: It's been a long time since you have heard from Gord & I but we are constantly watching your blog and are delighted with all the great progress you are making. Driving again, wonderful to have that freedom back I am sure. Your children are adorable, you are so lucky in so many ways. Just to keep you updated with us, I fell off a deck (dropped 6 feet to land on grass/rock)at a cottage on the 29th of June. I am just getting back to being able to sit and go for a little car ride. I have a compression fracture of my T12. I am scheduled to see specialist on July 24th for consultation and booking Kypoplasty surgery. One great thing about being in the U.S. is that if you can pay you can get medical procedures done in a speedy fashion. In Canada we have this great medical system (said in jest) that when something happens that you need immediate help you get in line for the specialist and hope that they see fit to make time for you. As you can probably tell, I am in pain, frustrated and watching my summer go by lying in bed looking out the window. Hopefully my surgery will be soon and I will be back to good spirits, Gord is wishing this more I think than I am. Anyway, hugs coming your way from both of us. Enjoy your summer and keep on the right track with your progress. Chat at you soon!!!
