I wish I had better news, but the tumor appears to be growing again. Dr. Reardon, her doctor at Duke, is adding another chemo drug to the "cocktail", Carboplatin. We're waiting to board the plane. It will be a long ride home.
My prayers are with you. I have been concerned about this trip for you for reasons I did not understand. Now I do. God is bigger than any problem and I will most certainly hit my knees and plead his mercy and loving kindness over you and your family. Much love and prayer. Be strong and trust his plan for you. Jerimiah 29:11. For I know the plans i have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans for a HOPE and a FUTURE.
Though we cannot understand his ways we can trust him at his word. Whatever the plans for you, they are GOOD because all things work together for good for those who are in Christ Jesus. Pray these verses for yourself. they will give you strength and peace. God can fix this.

Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday after your long day yesterday! It is a new day and another day you have to fight that beast! It is without a doubt that you have the will inside to get the job done in addition to all the prayers that are lifted up for you every day.
You can do it. Alex, Christian and Katherine know you can do it too!!
We agree with your fiend Lowry. You DO have what it takes, and most of all GOD has what it takes.
I know this is upsetting, but know that we will continue our daily prayers for you. You and David are loved more that I could ever say.
Let us know if there is anything we can do for you. As my frined in BR says... we have taken out the kneepads and plan to use them talking to God for you!
I wanted to share with you what I wrote in Dean's blog this morning for you both.
You will be in our prayers as well as Angela. It is so hard to fit into such large shoes as you both are filling as your journey continues. May God be an inspiration to you both. May we all stand in awe at the foot of the cross and thank Him for carrying us through such touch times.
Job 25:2 "Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.
Acts 2:43 "Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles."
May God be with you Angela and your family during this time. May God continue to give you discernment and comfort. Melissa Drouin, Maryland
We thank you for the offer of the generator, but we hope to have power by tomorrow morning. All of you are so in our thoughts and prayers and we will be especially praying for you during this new course of treatment.
O Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress. Isaiah 33:2

P.S. A man is in bed with his wife when there is a rat-a-tat-tat on the door. He rolls over and looks at his clock, and it's half past three in the morning. "I'm not getting out of bed at this time," he thinks, and rolls over. Then, a louder knock follows. "Aren't you going to answer that?" says his wife. So he drags himself out of bed and goes downstairs. He opens the door and there is man standing at the door. It didn't take the homeowner long to realize the man was drunk. "Hi there," slurs the stranger. "Can you give me a push??" "No, get lost. It's half past three. I was in bed," says the man and slams the door. He goes back up to bed and tells his wife what happened and she says, "Dave, that wasn't very nice of you. Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby sitter and you had to knock on that man's house to get us started again? What would have happened if he'd told us to get lost??" "But the guy was drunk," says the husband. "It doesn't matter," says the wife. "He needs our help and it would be the right thing to help him." So the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed and goes downstairs. He opens the door, and not being able to see the stranger anywhere he shouts, "Hey, do you still want a push??" And he hears a voice cry out, "Yeah, please." So, still being unable to see the stranger he shouts, "Where are you?" And the stranger replies, "I'm over here, on your swing."
Hope all is well. I am wondering if you had your "new" cocktail yesterday or you waiting till next week....Praying for you without ceasing!!!
Hopefully you won't get toooo much from IKE.
Love, peace and HOPE, Lowry
P.Sairplane ride A farmer and his wife went to a fair. The farmer was fascinated by the airplanes and asked a pilot how much a ride would cost. "$10 for 3 minutes," replied the pilot.
"That's too much," said the farmer.
The pilot thought for a second and then said, "I'll make you a deal. If you and your wife ride for 3 minutes without uttering a sound, the ride will be free. But if you make a sound, you'll have to pay $10."
The farmer and his wife agreed and went for a wild ride. After they landed, the pilot said to the farmer, "I want to congratulate you for not making a sound. You are a brave man."
"Maybe so," said the farmer, "But I gotta tell ya, I almost screamed when my wife fell out.".
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. Wishing you much success with the new form of treatment. If there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to call us.
Hope you are able to tolerate the new drug in your cocktail & that it becomes the most effective drug you have ever taken. We are praying hard for you & hope you are recieving small miracles every day. Honie

I am praying! ~Laurie Howard
Hey,
Another bump in the road...when will it end...
If only we had the answers to all of the questions. All we can do is pray and pray hard...that is exactly what I intend to do!
I pray that the "cocktail" is exactly what that nasty tumor needs and that the side effects are minimal!!
You have had many "detours" but you have continued to fight hard and I expect nothing less from you!!
You can do this...your fan club is behind you 110%
Love, peace and full of HOPE,

Wishing you well if tomorrow is "drug" day. I hope everything goes smoothly and your body does not react to the new cocktail too bad.
