Keebo - The Family Pet

This weekend was especially sad for our family. We had to put our dog of nearly 15 years, Keebo, down this past Saturday. Keebo was Angela's first "child". She gave him birthday parties and he rode with her nearly everywhere she went (pre-kids of course). She is taking his loss pretty hard.

In general, things have been very rough since our return from Duke. She has not been tolerating the new chemo cocktail very well. Mentally she has been in a "funk" for lack of a better term. It has been a challenge to get her motivated enough to get out of the house or go to physical therapy.

I am sorry to hear about Keebo. I know how the lost of an "Animal" can be. We lost Bocca after 17 years a few months ago. And for you Angela we are praying that you have the willpower to keep getting up and doing the things that become more difficult everyday. Our prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to hear about Keebo. I know how y'all loved him.
We continue to pray for Angela, for her treatments, energy and healing.

Lord, please touch Angela with your healing hand. Give her strength to endure the treatments. Please strengthen David as he cares for Angela. We lift them both up to you. In the precious healing name of Jesus we ask this. Amen

David and Angela,

So sorry to hear about Keebo. I, too, know that kind of loss in losing my "Snippy". She was an American Quarter Horse and the day I lost her, I had owned her longer than Josh had been on this earth. I treasure my 25 1/2 years with her and the memories of our boys growing up with her.

Our Father,

I lift up Angela and David and children up to you especially today. I pray for strength, healing, peace and a feeling of Your precious arms wrapped around each one of them. I pray for strength for the battle and healing from the pain of this additional loss.

In Your Precious Name,

Amen

We love you so much, Eugene & Debi

Thought I'd cheer you up by letting you know the craziness in my life for the last month and 1/2:

- Lost my home to Gustav
- The home I was staying starting dripping water on my head in the middle of the night
- Lost my diamond from my grandmother's engagement ring
- Moved to 82 yr old aunt's who is excited to have company and wants to talk non stop everyday after I get home from work
- Had water leak at Aunt's house
- Injured my ankle and leg trying to clear out mess from old house
- Car was robbed while sitting in driveway at my Aunts home
- LSU lost by 30 points

I know my issues don't compare to yours but I know that both of us will survive the trials we are going through. God will provide for all of our needs.

My comfort comes from knowing that God is My Savior and Redeemer and He will provide for me.

"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. " Matthew 11:28

Love you and pray for you often,
Melissa

Hey Angela!!!

Sorry it has been awhile. Right now I am sitting in Peoria, Illinois going home from Minnesota. Brad's dad passed away last week so we have been dealing with that. I could not wait to get back to the internet so I could see how you are doing.
I am terribly sorry about Keebo. It is just as difficult losing a pet as a real person. Last October, we lost a kitten, on Christmas Eve we lost Beau..our Golden retriver of 14 years, April another cat and in July, I had to make that decision of putting a cat "down". It is just awful...no other way to put it!!!

So, keep your chin up. All you can do is take one day at a time...just like you have been doing for the past year and few months!!!

OK..picture this....Saturday was Brad's dad funeral so his Mom's home was packed with Big 10 fans. I persuaded everyone to watch the "big" game. Needless to say, I had to endure alot of comments!!!
Everyone has a bad day...right???

Take care. Been thinking of you.

Love, peace and HOPE that your body will tolerate that "new" cocktail and your days will be brighter ones!!!

TGIF....

Do you remember all those TGIF"S at LSU....soooo much fun. It is too bad as grown up's we have to deal with so much junk (is that the word you would call that beast?)

Thinking about all those TGIF's will surely bring a smile to your face!!!!

Love, peace and HOPE,
Lowry

We are now home!
