This is very hard to write, so I will be brief. This has been a very difficult past couple of months. Angela is now under hospice care at home. Thanks again for your many thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for my family.

This is also hard to read, David. We continue our persistent praying for Angela, for you, for the children and for the rest of her family and all her friends focusing on God's healing pro- vision and His grace. This kind of focused prayer is best maintained by those of us who are not as emotionally involved as you are. Not seeing her, thus the problem, allows us to "see" her healed. Please take some comfort knowing that the bowls of heaven are being filled with prayer for Angela and your beautiful family. Grace, peace and healing for you all.

Our prayers and thoughts continue for Angela, you and the children. Also, for your friends and family and the many who are praying. I am asking God to wrap his loving arms around Angela, you and the children and to send a healing miracle to Angela. Love. Connie Howard
David, this is really awful to read as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with Angela and of course you and your family. May you take strength in our prayers.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit
Psalm 71:20-21 Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again
David and Angela, I pray that these verses and so many others will bring you comfort during this time.
Father I pray your everlasting comfort and peace over the home of David and Angela. Please Lord help them to rest in you and realize that you love them in spite of difficulties and struggles they face. Provide for their every need and desire and may they not have to encounter any further stress. Lord fill their home with your sweet aroma and abide constantly with them. Give David the strength to endure the upcoming obstacles and bring into his midst people who can uphold him and encourage him. Father bind any spirit of fear or doubt and surround them with a hedge of supernatural protection. Guide them through this journey. I know they are experiencing confusion and possibly anger even, Lord but you understand that in our mere humanity we stumble. I am praying Lord that you will guard them from any further pain and that only relief will come. Lord in your sweet and Holy name I ask on behalf of this precious family, comfort and peace. Amen.
Try to stay strong and keep the faith in spite of what you see.
David, my heart and soul goes to your family. Although Angela and I have not remained super close, she is still one of my very best friends. Please don't lose the faith. Angela is one of the strongest people I know. With the support of your wonderful family and friends and God's grace, you will make it through this difficult time.
My heart is so heavy for you, and I pray for peace for you. Your sweet freind Lowry is correct - we will all continue our prayers not only for Angela’s healing, but for you and the chldren’s every day.
I cannot imagine how hard this is for all of you--you are on my mind every day. I pray that small positive moments find their way to you each day, and that the courage and hope you need for this part of the journey finds you as well.
We are praying that the Lord will heal Angela and that He will give you wisdom and understanding for each moment. May the Lord comfort your heart and soul. ~Jeff & Laurie Howard
David, It was good to see all the support from your very close circle of friends tonight. Take comfort in them and those very special hugs and kisses from Alex, Christian, and Kat. They are beautiful, sweet children.
Just know that we will all be here for you. My heart wishes that it could take some of your pain. Our prayers are with you continually, even as we wake in the night, we whisper prayers. We'll be praying at 9:00 in the morning.
David -- Words are not able to come to me, nor the understanding of why all of your family should have to go through this pain. It is with this confusion that I must trust that God has a purpose, that he is loving and understanding. I pray He holds you all closer to Him at this extremely difficult time and holds Angela even closer.
Life brings us through many hills and valleys in our life, I am sorry that you and Angela's has been the Grand Canyon. I have known Angela since kindergarden and she is truly one of the sweetest, kindest and true people that I have ever met. You have proven to be be an incredible partner to her, and for that all of us are thankful. Know that prayers for you both and your family are being sent up from every corner of this country. In Tifton, GA, we will continue to pray for a miracle and for Gods Grace to be with all of you.
David: My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Its hard not to notice in all of the pictures posted that Angela is ALWAYS wearing a smile. What a great gift! And that is one of the very things I remember about her also from school, always greeting others with a smile. Please know that you and your family have a huge circle of prayers surrounding you. Although, difficult, I hope this can give you some comfort.
It has been a while since we have seen each other or spent time together ... I miss it. I am very sorry to hear this most recent news. Jodi and I keep up with you guys via this blog. I am glad you had such a good Christmas.
David, I just want you and Angela to know that I am praying for you daily. I am angered by the unfairness of life and am heartbroken your sweet wife has to suffer this way. Most of all I am awed by your strength and willingness not be strong when it must be so very hard. There will be a time for you to fall and rest and I am sure that your friends and family will be there for your soft landing. I am praying for you to endure. Give Angela many hugs and kisses for Shelby and I. My sweet daughter saw this blog and just sat there with her mouth hanging open. She didn't know what to say except can I see her again. She really made an impression on Shelby. True for most people she encountered I am sure. My loss for not getting to know her better. You are a very lucky man to have had this time with her. Be encouraged and grab hold of God with all your might. He will uphold you.
Over this past year, life has been quite tough handling the kids full-time, caring for Angela and running the household. It has been incredible watching you day by day, week by week, caring for your wife and keeping afloat. God has given you the strength to get through each and every day with grace and peace , and with a smile on your face. You have been incredible and a model to others of your great love for your wife and family. God is with you and your family, and will continue to be your inner strenght in these days ahead. God creates miracles, and our lives are in his hands. My prayers are with you and my thoughts are always with Angela and keeping up the fight. Her attitude has been wonderful , and her compassion for life has been great. She is the strongest person I know, and I love her dearly. She has taught me many things about life and its special gifts. I will continue to pray daily for her health and well being. She is one of my dearest friends, and her strength has been a model to all of us. God is with you always and keep believing in his healing power. May God's grace be with you and your family .
David, this is really hard to read as well. My thoughts and prayers are with Angela, you and your family. I am praying for you daily.
I'll never forget the happy times that I lived at your house, with Angela, you and the kids. You are a great family that gave me love and support when I neede it. I always keep you all in my mind and my heart. God bless you always.
I will keep praying for Angela's healing, her peace and comfort.
You have been on my heart for the last few days, nonstop. Please know that we pray continually for you, for Angela and the precious children.
Please get some rest, and know that we will keep up the watch! I know that God hears our prayers, and hope that you feel some peace today. I also pray that Angela is comfortable and feels the love that so many send to you.
My husband and I met you and your children last year at It's My Party and since then Angela and your family have been on my mind. Periodically, I check the blog to see her progress. This entry left me speechless and heartbroken.
I am so sorry for what Angela, you and your beautiful children are going through. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
May you find strength and peace in your faith. God bless your family.
How awesome when your friends and family are needed, they are there for you at any time...day or night!! I am so impressed that all of you in Port Allen are standing watch with Angela. Even though she may not immediately know that you are there, your presence to her I bet is truly comforting. All of you define what it is to be family and friends.
How many times can I go through my mind...why, how come, is not fair, why, how come, is not fair, why, etc. etc. etc... over and over again for the past 18 months or so...And then I read something and it went like this... “At least it makes things bearable when I remember that Angela is a gift, pure and simple, something we neither earned nor deserved nor had a right to. And when I remember that the appropriate response to a gift, even when it is taken away, is gratitude, then I am better able to try and thank God that I was ever given her in the first place.”
Heavenly Father, although this is so difficult to understand, not sure I ever will, I will continue to be grateful for the gift of Angela. Amen
Love, peace and full of HOPE for Angela, David, Alex, Christian and Katherine, Lowry
I can't tell you how much your family means to me. Being able to spend time w/ Angela last night was truly a gift. I am here for whatever you all need. There is no request too big...please let me know what I can do. I love you all. Thanks for letting me be a part of your lives.
David, We were just sent this the blog from Wendy Wilcombe. I believe we were told of Angela's condition when she was first diagnosed, but haven't heard anything since, until today. After reading just a few of the many blog entries we realized how severe her condition is and all that your family is going through. Our hearts are very saddened to hear all of the news. Please know that we are thinking of all of you, and praying for all of you. I cannot imagine what a trying time this has been for your family. We have high hopes that Angela and your family are doing well today, and that she continues to have a positive demeanor. One day at a time. Now that we have the site address we will stay up to date with your family, and will always be here for support, thoughts, and prayers. Although we don't know each other well, if there's anything we can do to help out the family, please let us know. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely, Carruth and Amanda Higgins ( old neighbors of the Wilcombes from Catherine Plantation)
David and family, I am thinking of you all throughout my day as I make soap. I check back here to see how Angela is doing, and I pray for her comfort as well as yours. I remember years ago when I spoke with her for the first time on the phone. I could sense then that she was a spinning top in motion juggling kids and a business. She exudes energy even on the phone, I like that! Just from reading this blog I can see that she is also blessed with a wonderful husband and good father. Take good care of yourself David.
