Prayer Service

I would like to thank Angela's cousin, Father John Carville, for leading a prayer service Sunday for Angela's family and a few close friends. We held the service outside in the yard and the weather was absolutely beautiful. Father Carville gave Angela the "Anointing of the Sick" and Communion. This was just the spiritual and emotional boost she needed. His words and the service gave us all great comfort. Again thanks for your posts, prayers and support .... it what keeps her going!

What a comfort from above! Many times we need Jesus "with skin on" and God sends just who we need at just the right time.

Our Father,
Thank you for the special time of prayer and for the comfort that time gave. Thank you for answered prayer. We lift up Angela today and ask for the strength that only You can give. Give her the peace to rest when she can. And Lord, just keep those angels coming into her life.

In Your Precious name,

Amen

We love you much, Eugene & Debi

Richard, Hope and I pray for you EVERY DAY as a family and individually as well. We pray also for strength and comfort for David and your beautiful children. I have posted one of the pictures on your blog (one of the birthday pictures) in my Sunday School class at Warren Baptist Church. We pray for you and your family in class every Sunday and you are on the individual prayer lists of everyone in my Ladies Class. May God grant you healing, comfort, and peace. Fonda

David,

We are praying, extra hard!

Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Jacques keeps telling us that he want to pray for Miss Angela, but want to sit in her lap and pray WITH her. :) I promised him that we would come see you on our next visit in, hopefully in a few weeks.

Let me know if there is ANYTHING we can do. I keep reminding myself that GOD is Angela’s great physician, and we all know he can do wonders.

love you,
Jayne

Angela, We pray to Our Father in the most tenderest way for you; you who are a sweet and tender woman, wife, mother. Always know that He is close to you, very close. He knows firsthand about suffering. Angela, what a peaceful note David left about Fr. Carville bringing you the sacraments. As a Eucharistic Minister, I would be happy to bring Holy Communion to you and we can pray a little together if you're up to it. Just let me know when/how often. You can email me at mgfeduccia@aol.com. May God shower you in abundance with His tenderest mercies and grace. Love, Maureen

Hey Angela,

I am so happy to hear you had the annointing. I also hope that you felt the Holy Spirit working within you. But most of all, I hope you are feeling at peace and not worrying too much!!

I had a memory come to me a few days ago and I forget to post it. Do you remember a long time ago when you took me to that haunted house? I believe you were just starting to "like" David and I think Steele, Haley and Honie were with us. I know I did not go into the haunted house b.c. I was too scared. We were close to your house I know...Do you remember that???

Praying for a restful sleep and a brighter tomorrow.

Love, peace and HOPE,
Lowry

P.S. What do you call a cat that bowls?
An alley cat!! HEHE

Happy Wednesday Angela,

Well, it is snowing in Chattanooga..we are hoping NO school tomorrow...but not likely! I hope the weather is good in Port Allen!!

I am HOPING and praying that you are a bit stronger today and feeling pretty good.

On those days that you don't think you have any strength,
His strength is perfect when our strength is gone, He'll carry us when we can't carry on, in His presence the weak become strong, His strength is perfect when our strength is gone."

Love, peace and HOPE,
Lowry

P.S. Another memory....Just how many Diet Cokes did you drink at Graham Dorm???

P.S.S. What do you call a sleeping bull?
A bulldozer.

Hey Angela,

As Thursday comes to a close, I hope you are feeling alright!! Today we had a snow day which means NO SCHOOL!! We were so happy with that even though the snow was gone by this morning!!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 13-4

Wishing you much comfort tonight and all the tomorrows to come!!

Love, peace and HOPE,
Lowry

P.S.
The other day I went up to a local Christian bookstore
and saw a "Honk If You Love Jesus " bumper sticker.
I was feeling particularly sassy that day
because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance,
followed by a thunderous prayer meeting;
so I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper.

Boy, I'm glad I did!
What an uplifting experience that followed!

I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection
just lost in thought about the Lord and how good He is...

and I didn't notice that the light had changed.
It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus
because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed!

I found that LOTS of people love Jesus!
Why, while I was sitting there,
the guy behind me started honking like crazy,
and then he leaned out of his window and screamed,
"For the love of GOD! GO! GO! JESUS CHRIST, GO!"

What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus!
Everyone started honking!
I just leaned out of my window
and started waving and smiling at all these loving people.
I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!

TGIF Miss Angela,

Just sitting here tonight wondering how you are doing! I just pray that you are stronger than yesterday and resting in inner peace!!!

When thinking about you for a few days now, this song comes to my mind...
"this is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made..Let us rejoice and be glad in it..."

I hope you enjoyed your Friday.

Love, peace and HOPE,
Lowry

P.S. A memory..only one word...Diane.....

David and Angela,

I know this poem is long, but I heard it tonight for the first time at our Women's Silent Prayer Retreat and it seemed I needed to share it with you.

Wait by Russell Kelfer

Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried;
Quietly, patiently, lovingly, God replied.
I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate…
and the Master so gently said, “Wait.”
“Wait? You say, wait?” my indignant reply.
“Lord, I need answers, I need to know why!
IS your hand shortened? Or have you not heard?
By faith I have asked, and I’m claiming your Word.
“My future and all to which I relate
hangs in the balance, and you tell me to ‘Wait?’
I’m needing a ‘yes,’ a go-ahead sign.
Or even a ‘no,’ to which I’ll resign.
“You promised, dear Lord, that if we believe,
we need but to ask, and we shall receive.
Lord, I’ve been asking, and this is my cry:
I’m weary of asking, I need a reply.”
Then quietly, softly, I learned of my fate
as my Master replied again, “Wait.”
So I slumped in my chair, defeated and taut,
and grumbled to God, “So, I’m waiting…for what?”
He seemed then to kneel, and His eyes met with mine…
and He tenderly said, “I could give you a sign.
I could shake the heavens and darken the sun.
I could raise the dead and cause mountains to run.
“I could give all you seek and pleased you would be.
You’d have what you want, but you wouldn’t know Me.
You’d not know the depth of My love for each saint.
You’d not know the power that I give to the faint.
“You’d not learn to see through clouds of despair.
You’d not learn to trust just by knowing I’m there.
You’d not know the joy of resting in Me
when darkness and silence are all you can see.
You’d never experience the fullness of love
when the peace of My spirit descends like a dove.
You would know that I give, and I save, for a start,
but you’d not know the depth of the love of My heart.
“The glow of My comfort late into the night,
the faith that I give when you walk without sight.
The depth that’s beyond getting just what you ask
from an infinite God who makes what you have last.
“You’d never know should your pain quickly flee,
what it means that ‘My grace is sufficient for thee.’
Yes, your dearest dreams overnight would come true,
but, oh, the loss, if I lost what I’m doing in you.
“So, be silent, my child, and in time you will see
that the greatest of gifts is to truly know Me.
And though oft’ My answers seem terribly late,
My most precious answer of all is still “Wait.”

Hope it helps.

Hope you are having a blessed day today. I just wanted you to know that ever since my husband told me of your illness you and your family are in our daily prayers. I know things may seem disheartening sometimes but never give up on hope and faith ,always believe in miracles. I say rosaries for you through out my days, and a couple of days ago right after saying one of them, I turned the tube on and it was tuned into EWTN. They had this special on about The Life of Francis Xavier Seelos. He was the only North American beatified during the Solemn Jubilee Year 2000. As I sat listening to all the miracles through his intercession by all races, ages , genders and religions, miracles that led to his beatification, I felt in awe of how good God truly is.Was this a coincidence after having said a rosary for you I came across this Blessed Priest, I can't tell you that. I simply don't know, but I felt I had to share this with you and tell you I do believe in miracle having witnessed several in my life time.If you are interested in finding out more about this blessed person, his shrine resides at : St. Mary's in New Orleans. I will also post the link to the site so you may read into it further. http://www.seelos.org/index.html
If there is anything my husband and I can do for you all you need is to say the word and we will be there for you. May God always hold you safe in his loving arms!

Prayer asking for the intercession of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos:
O my God, I truly believe You are present with me. I adore Your limitless perfections. I thank You for the graces and gifts You gave to Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos. If it is Your holy will, please let him be declared a saint of the church so that others may know and imitate his holy life. Through his prayers, please heal Angela completely. We ask this in Jesus'name. Amen.
(Once another medical miracle is declared to be immediate and total, and people testify that they prayed for the intercession of Fr. Seelos, he will be declared a saint.)
What a testimony we will all be able to give for a miracle for Angela.
May God bless you, Maureen
