I would like to express my sincere THANKS and gratitude to all of my friends and family for "circling the wagons" around my family in our time of need.

David, May God bless you and continue to give you the courage, strength, patience and perseverance that shines forth from you. The first visit I made to you and Angela after her becoming ill, I was in awe of all that you did during my visit/ (and continue to do) While I sat and visited with Angela. you simultaneously held Katherine, gave the boys some sandwiches I had brought over, held a phone conversation, removed Kebo from the sandwiches, then fed Katherine. After doing all that, you ever so gently came over and told Angela that she had some new medicine to take (she was still experiencing the effects of the medicine she took to cope with the radiation). You gave them to her, then fixed her a plate. I was so taken with your total care of everyone; I'll never forget it. (I'm so sorry I didn't help you more, but Angela was wanting to talk to me so I didn't leave her side.) Please know that you are in our prayers and those of so many people who feel they know you and Angela altho they have never met you. If there are days when you are too overwhelmed or too exhausted to pray, know that we've got you covered- and Angela and the children. Besides, your giving of yourself to your family is the most beautiful prayer of all. May Jesus and His Gentle Mother hold you close to their hearts and comfort you. God bless, see you soon, Maureen
David, what a sincere thought and how true it is when the enemy attacks the army of God gathers round those in need. I am praying ever so fervently for you and your family. As JM said, we cannot change the state of Angela's health but we can ask almighty God to gather his arms round you during this time of need. It is evident that you feel him by your comment. May God continue to protect, warm, comfort, hold and love you through the most difficult time in your life. I am praying that even though you must suffer through loss now that later there will be something better on the other side. Remember Job in the bible. He suffered more than any of us could live through yet in the end he had more than fathomable. There is absolutely an army "circling the wagons" around you in the physical as well as the spiritual realm. May God continue to comfort you and bring you peace unimagniable. You are showing us the picture of what God intended a in a husband.
There is no place any of us would rather be during this time, except doing what we can to alleviate some of the stress in your lives. I'm sure I speak for all of us in that it is difficult to concentrate on our daily tasks for stopping to pray for all of you.
And I totally agree with Maureen as I also watched you take care of every detail in your lives so calmly and lovingly. You made me smile as I watched the other night at 11:00 pm when I know you had to be totally exhausted, but you were running up and down the hall playing with Katherine and listening to your laughter and her giggles was a joy. Your children are blessed to have the parents they have and especially during this time, the precious father God blessed them with. You are an amazing man and we continue to pray for your strength.
"Twas grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved, how precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed." I think it's Angela's favorite verse of Amazing Grace. Cling to your faith and those that God has sent into your path to "circle those wagons".
Our Father,
We ask for your watchcare today. Be with the nurses and doctors that are working so hard to help Angela be comfortable. Be with David today as he faces each new step along this path. Comfort as only you can.
