Monday, January 26th

Another restful day for Angela. She slept off and on most of the day today. David continues to be by her side, taking care of her every want and need. Her cousin, Father John Carville, visited with her today. He prayed with Angela and David......his visits mean a lot to them. When I left this afternoon she was awake and eating a mango smoothie.
I want to thank you all for your prayers and kind words. David continues to read Angela all of the posts on a daily basis.....most days he reads them more than once. She listens to all of them. I also want to thank all of you whom have dropped in to visit with David. I know that he enjoys the company.
On a personal note, I want to let Doug know that Angela and I enjoyed his post of growing up in the Meriam Street neighborhood. You brought back memories for both of us....Great Memories!
Please continue to pray and send your comments and prayers to Angela. We hope and pray for more good days to come.

Good Night David and Angela,

I hope you have a restful night and you continue to have lots of time with special friends and family. I hope to get back down there soon. I have Granny Wallace at my house until Wednesday afternoon. She and my mom are chatting away. She's calling it a vacation! At 99 yrs old, I guess that's good enough.

We love you much and continue to pray moment by moment.

Love,

Eugene and Debi

Hi David and Angela,

I put some things in the mail for Alex. It's very special to me to be able to share some materials for him to read. Angela, I remember a long time ago when you encouraged me and my work in teaching children to read. I have always appreciated your comments to me. Thank you. I spoke with John Michael the other night and he shared with me a little about Alex. He sounds absolutely delightful!

You all remain in my prayers.

Love,
Jill Allor

Good Morning Angela and David, I am continuing to pray for relaxed and restful days for both of you. Angela, You are in my prayers constantly to remain comfortable and without pain throughout each day. Your strength is admirable and your courage over the past year and a half have been infectious. You inspire me to be a more loving, caring person. I pray that God blesses you today with alertness and lots of good memories. Stay strong and rest in the comfort of knowing you are a beloved child of God. David, I continue to be awed by your willingness to be so kind and caring. Most people would respond that its your duty or your job, but rather it seems to just be your heart. You appear to find joy in doting over Angela and making sure she is comfortable. I know some days are stressful and trying, but it is evident that you are enjoying these days alone with your wife. I pray that you experience many blessings as time draws short. I pray that you and Angela can relive the memories and times you shared together earlier in your marriage. Anyone would be blessed to have shared such a loving relationship. Be strong my friend. God is going to take care of you and your three beautiful children.

With the Love of Christ,
Pam

Good Morning David and Angela,
I have been reading your posts on this website since Kim told me about it. About six months have gone by since I have read any of the updates. Sorry I have not sent my prayers to you and your family before. I think of you often and am amazed at the courage and strength that all of you have. You, Angela, your family and friends are such an inspiration to me.

Good Morning David & Angela;

I am so glad I got to visit w/ you yesterday, David.Hope Angela is enjoying the tulips. Your love for each other is quite evident and you both have such amazing courage. I'm thankful for having met Angela all those years ago & for her calling me years later to have us not only work together ,but most importantly for us to be able to share our lives as women, wives & mothers. Our endless conversations about our love for TAB (only a few people who still drink that!),old houses, antiques & laughing b/c our husbands didn't always feel the same...I find comfort knowing that my cooking for ya'll over the past year has been enjoyed (especially those M&M cookies!)David, please know I meant all that I said to you yesterday. Our thoughts, prayers, blessings remain w/ the two of you...Love, Stacie Allen

Hi Fluker Family,
It's Tricia from moms day out.
I just wanted to let you know i'm praying for all of you daily as I check your blog. You are such a great example of being Christ-like. The way you are there for each other and have so many people around who love you, shows what awesome people you are. Give Alex an extra hug from "Aunt Trish"

Good Morning David and Angela,
I only found out about your website a few weeks ago when I was trying to find your home address. I'm sure Diane told you I spoke with her. I wanted to let you know that Jim and I and Mom and Dad have been praying and thinking of you both. We were always asking Lucy for updates and now we have been "checking" via the website daily. Mom and Dad are in Singapore now, but everytime I talk to them, they ask about you both. I know it has been a long time since we saw each other (David, I think it was one of Ikie and Tara's engagement parties?), but you are still remembered and thought of dearly. It has been wonderful to hear that you have been getting the rest and relief you need. You are loved and thought of by so many people, far beyond what you know. The congregation of St. Anthony's of Padua is praying for you.

Hi! I am so glad that Angela and you have had a few good days. That is such a blessing. Angela is such a blessing! I have known Angela all my life. We went to Ms. Lucille's kindergarden then 1-12 grade together a St. John. Angela was and still is one of the sweetest people I know. I have been away from La. for 20 years and hate that I am not there to visit and share memories with her. We had many good times from Brownies and Girl Scouts to Senior parties and class reunions. Please give her my love.

I am praying for you all. Always remember that there are no limits to what God can do! Praying for blessings, grace and peace!!

Hi Angela and David and Family, You are so much in our thoughts and prayers. Angela, you are the most courageous person I know. May God bless you and comfort you with much peace. David, you are inspiration as well. Words cannot express the impact you both have on all of us. Much as I want to say words that bring you comfort, I know I fall short. I am sorry you are going through this; I pray for all good things to be with you. Love and prayers, Maureen

Hey Dave,

Just wanted to see if there was any new news...

I hope you are doing well today. Tell John Michael to post new info. He is probably still looking at those Treen Team photos and thinking about our political days and the way we all encouraged him that he really needed to get involved in the Republican Party! I really thought that by now he’d be on the Presidential ticket :)

Praying without ceasing!

Hi Angela, David, Alex, Christian, and Kat -- We think of you daily and wish we could be with you. Right now we have the galloping crud at our house so are avoiding allt he people we like. Lucy is also sick and asked me to send you the message below. She hasn't figured out yet how to use her fancy schmancy computer for communicating, but don't challenge her to Solitaire!
Love you big, Kathy, Dickey, Prentice, Josie Blue

From Lucy:
Dear Angela and David, I miss you both and I really really miss my children. I can't wait to get rid of this pneumonia so I can visit with Angela. David get those kids up and dressed, feed them breakfast and get them to school on time, Alex, take two bites, how do you know you don't like it if you don't try it, Christian, use your fork, that's what the big boys do, Katherine, come here and let me feed you, you are too sweet and pretty to have spaghetti sauce in your hair, now everybody, pick up the toys, share the books, sit up straight, comb your hair, tuck in your shirt, say yes ma'am (you NEVER say no ma'am to Lucy), Angela, just tell me what you want honey and I'll call the National Guard and have it delivered, ...
Love,
Sarge

Well maybe that's not exactly the message she dictated -- but she does want you to know how much she misses being with you and that she cherishes each of you.
Kathy

Dear Sweet Angela,
I am thinking and praying for you today as I am everyday. I am continuing to pray for comfortable and peaceful days for you and David to share. Your love for each other is an awesome inspiration for all of us who watch and walk along this journey with you both. There are literally hundreds praying you through. My specific prayer for you is that you have clarity during your time with friends and family and that you remain without pain. Jesus is watching you Angela and he is waiting with his arms open wide to welcome you to the place where there is no pain and illness, no corruption and evil, no crying and complaining. THere is only love and joy and constant worship with the King of Kings. How awesome a thing to behold. I love you and I am continually interceding for you and your family. Thank you for being such a gracious, wonderful, welcoming woman. you make the rest of us want to strive for more.

In the sweet love of Christ
Pam
