I'll begin with last night (Monday) and move forward through today. Last night before I went in to see Angela, David reminded me that she had not been responding much the past few days so I should just hold her hand and talk to her. Well, when I grabbed her hand and spoke her name, she opened her eyes!!!! She would squeeze my hand when I would talk and I got a BIG, TIGHT squeeze when I asked if she wanted me to get David! When David came in the room, her eyes were open and she was responding through hand squeezing. Small gifts from God is what those squeezes were!
This morning around 10:30 David told me she was awake and responding.....and that I may want to go by for a visit. Boy, am I glad that I did. When I walked in she was bright eyed and reaching for my hand. David stepped out for his morning shower and I had her all to myself........I took advantage of the situation. I talked to her and she would answer back....I got a few yes, no, and I love you answers......I even got a few hugs from her! God blessed me with a visit that I will cherish always. Most of all, God blessed David with a GREAT day with his wife.
Tonight Joey & I went by for a while and David had the kids there. Alex, Christian and Katherine all went in to see Angela (she was awake). They got in the bed with Angela and she was able to give them hugs........what a beautiful sight! When I left Angela had fallen asleep and was resting peacefully. Christian wanted to go see his Mommy again so Theresa was going to take him in for a quick peek.
David would like to thank everyone for their calls, visits and most importantly all of the prayers. Angela, David and the kids could not have gotten through the past 15 months without all of you.
Until next time, take care and keep the prayers flowing.

Dear Tammy,
I don't know you but I used to work with Angela way back when before we had children.
It seems from your post today that God blessed Angela,David, and you and the children with a wonderful day. Please tell her that I love her and I'm praying for quality days....pain-free,restful, and full of love from her family and fabulous friends.
Is she eating anything at all? If so, ask her what I can bring her.....ANYTHING!!My cell # is 225-324-3358. Give her a tight hand squeeze from me & tell her that I love her!

Thank you all for the updates. It sounds as if today was one to cherish.
Please let Angela know that I think of her often and am always at awe to hear how she continues to be so unselfish.

Good Morning David, Angela and faithful friends,
Thanks Tammy for the updated. I am thankful that the children got to see her awake once again. Although they are so young, us adults don't understand this so I can't even imagine what they are feeling when they see there Mommy. I am thankful that David had another day with his wife, and she had another day with her friends.
Wishing all of you a wonderful day filled with beautiful memories and that Angela has some more "awake" times that are painfree.
Love, peace and HOPE,
Lowry
Good Morning Everyone
I pray today that Angela has a restful calm day. We are grateful that she is still able to show her love to those who are dear to her. I pray that David can find the strenght to remain her staunchest provider. I also pray for those who are there everyday to help, Angela & David both need you so
Love to All

Dear David, family and friends, I know times are painful for all but each moment that you can have with Angela is a blessing from God that will be remembered in fleeting moments for now and forever. Angela always brought a smile in the room when she entered and along with her was David that had even a bigger smile, all because Angela was a part of his life. Strenght comes in many forms and blessings. Cherish each moment.
Thanks for the updates and you are in my thoughts and prayers, Daisy

David,
There are special people you meet in your life time, those whom you will never forget. Angela is a very special and unique individual, I am greatful for having the opportunity to have met her and shared time with her through our business relationship. Always upbeat and optomistic, always busy and smiling. When she frequently would stop by my studio to pick up her order she always took the time to chat. You did not have to know her for long before you found out how happy she is with her life and that she especially loves you and admires your strength. As for her children?? They are the center of her world, the purpose of her life..
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers through out the days. I am praying for a peace that only comes from the lord above. He's the one who carries us when things are too tuff for us to understand. He hears our prayers, and one day when we see him he will wipe away our tears and sadness will have no more place.

Tammy,
It's amazing how little things can make for a brighter day. I'm so happy to hear that Angela was able to respond to you and David and most of all to her children. That was definitely an awesome day. Please give her a special hug for me. She has made such a tremendous impact on my life when we worked together a long time ago.
Thanks for the updates. It truly helps me feel closer to Angela and you all.
Thanks again and I will pray for more awesome days in the days to come!

Even though all the close friends who grew up together in the Old Meriam St Neighborhood have long since moved on to greener pastures, the childhood memories of all the good times remain in all of us.
Long gone are Busters Store, the Sharon's old house, and the Health Unit. Some of the places are still around though, battered and beaten by the passage of time, and stand as monuments to a place we all loved and called home as kids.
Toscano's Grocery, and the home where three generations of my family grew up is still standing, as is Angela's parents old house on the corner. All are in varying states of disrepair, yet are still haunted by the missing sounds of loving families and energetic children within them.
Today anyone passing down Meriam St. might see a once proud neighborhood which has fallen into a sad state of repair and blight, but I still see it through the eyes of a child.
I remember all the good times we all had growing up together. I can still see the "Smoke Man" coming down the street with us kids running as fast as we could to follow in the pesticide fog, and I can still hear the echos of the old black man driving the mule cart calling out "Turnips..... Onions..... Tomatoes..."every weekday morning, Or even trying to guess how many miles Mr. Hubert had on his old red bicycle.
Those good times and those good people will live on forever in the memories of us all.
Angela was a big part of that time and that place.
I WILL NEVER FORGET..

Dear David,
I don't know if you remember me, but I used to work for you about 7 years ago. I just wanted you to know that both you and Angela are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I'm glad to hear that Angela is resting peacefully the last few days. I'm sure it helps you to know that she isn't in as much pain now. Sounds like they are taking good care of you all there.
Your beautiful family will continue to be in my prayers.
Take care,
Christy Altazan
Tammy, I can't imagine how difficult this is for you also. I have had my best friend for 30+ years and can't imagine the pain of losing her. You have been in my thoughts and prayers as well as David and Angela. You have been a very good friend and I am sure that David is quite appreciative. You are absolutely blessed to have befriended such a beautiful person.
Thinking of you and praying

Dear David,
Thanks so much for this website. I am just now receiving it from your cousin Kathy. I have a bookmarker with these words on it and it reminded me of Angela.
"Have courage for the great sorrows of life and patience for the small ones. And when you have finished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake."
Please let Angela know I am thinking of her every day. If you need anything please call.
